RAWALPINDI, Aug 4: Islamabad police are hunting for a man who raped a 14-year-old girl in her house in Tarnol, while six people were deprived of their vehicles in Rawalpindi by auto-thieves, police said on Thursday.

Sardar Muhammad, the father of the girl, lodged an FIR with the Tarnol police stating that on Monday, he and his wife went to Mirpur, leaving his daughter, Marya Bibi, at home.

Investigating officer Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yasin said while the victim, who was a 4th class student, was alone at home, the accused, Muhammad Sadique, 45, residing in the neighbouring house came to Marya’s house.

He asked the girl to fetch him a glass of water. As she came near him, the accused intoxicated her due to which she fainted and fell on the bed. The accused raped the girl and escaped. However, on hearing the screams of the girl, people from the neighbouring houses rushed to her house but they failed to catch the accused.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Khalid’s Toyota Hiace wagon (PRC-4065) was stolen from the Banni police area, while Nadeem Aslam’s car (IDA-32) was lifted from outside his house in the Civil Lines area.

Tariq Nazir’s car (IDN-5176) was stolen from Westridge, while Andaz Khan’s car (RL-30) was lifted from Sadiqabad. Muhammad Rashidul Hassan’s motorbike (RLA-1612) was stolen from Pirwadhai, while Muhammad Johar’s motorbike (RIZ-2180) was lifted from AWT Plaza Saddar.
