LAHORE: Students of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts performed awareness-based drama Dengue at the Government Wasif Ali Wasif Boys School, Gulshan-i-Ravi, on Saturday.

It was the second part of the street theatre series, called Alhamra-on-Wheel, launched by the Lahore Arts Council (LAC) in its effort to revive the tradition of street theatre.

In the 1st episode, Alhamra had presented a theatre play Jahaiz Aik Lanat at Jilani Park a few days ago which was greatly admired by the audience.

About the second part of the series, LAC Executive Director Athar Ali Khan said ‘Alhamra on Wheel’ was an effort to promote the street theatre in which stage dramas would reach the people themselves.

Teachers of the school appreciated Alhamra’s new step for revival of street theatre.
