Ex-staffer of Dawn dies

KARACHI: Musheer Has­san Rizvi, who worked for Dawn in the 1950s and early ’60s as political correspondent, passed away last week in Frankfurt. He was 93.

He moved to Germany in the ’60s, joined American Express, and was subsequently posted in Karachi and Bangladesh. He retired in the mid-’80s and had been living in Frankfurt since.

According to his will, he was buried in Karachi on Tuesday evening at Sakhi Hasan graveyard, North Nazimabad. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
