KARACHI, Aug 3: The Muttahida Quami Movement on Wednesday night briefed a group of diplomats and businessmen about its vision of a true democratic and egalitarian society, says a press release. The briefing was based on a comprehensive document worked out by Muttahida deputy convener Farooq Sattar, who was assisted by Nasreen Jalil and Sardar Ahmed.

Dr Sattar gave a comprehensive plan for development of different segments of society, including health, education, transport, and poverty alleviation. Meanwhile, British Deputy High Commissioner Hamish Daniel called on Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui and discussed with him matters of mutual interest. He told the diplomat that the Sindh government was making all-out efforts for maintaining peace.
