MURREE: To overcome shortage of schoolteachers in Murree and Kotli Sattian, the Punjab government will hire school specific teachers.

This was stated by MPA retired Maj Latasab Satti while talking to Dawn.

He said in the past teachers were recruited for a whole town but no one was willing to get posted to remote areas.

Under the new recruitment policy, teachers would be appointed for a specific school and preference would be given to local youth. This will overcome shortage of teachers and provide job opportunities to educated youth near their residences.

Mr Satti said by the end of December maximum induction of teachers would be completed in the schools of Murree and Kotli Sattian.
