LARKANA, Aug 2: One hundred and sixty-two forms of Awam Dost Panel (ADP) candidates for nazims, naib nazims and councillors have been rejected in Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot districts.

Ayaz Soomro advocate, President PPP Larkana District, said on Tuesday that different returning officers had rejected the nomination papers of ADP candidates in Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot district for which appeals had been filed.

A panel of nine advocates headed by MPA Ayaz Soomro will plead the cases in the courts.

Aziz Solangi, Abdul Hamid Bhurgri, Saeed Akbar siyal, Israr Ahmed, Shafique Soomro, Akram Shaikh, Abdul Rasheed Shah, Farhad Memon and Ms Salama Soho will be included in the panel of advocates.

Ayaz Soomro alleged that using state machinery, false cases were being registered against the ADP candidates so as to keep them away from local body polls in Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot district. The advocates’ panel on Tuesday met here in the district bar room with the candidates who had filed appeals. The PPP’s MNAS’, MPAS’ from Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot district also participated in the meeting.
