KARACHI: Sindh health authorities on Friday confirmed that three more people succumbed to lethal infections; two of them died because of dengue while Congo-Crimean haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) claimed another life.

A 24-year-old woman from Nazimabad and a 22-year-old man from the same area had been admitted to a private hospital in critical condition.

It is learnt they died in the early hours of Thursday; however, officials did not elaborate. The recent deaths brought the tally of dengue-related deaths to 10 thus far this year, said officials.

Meanwhile, a 56-year-old man, who was admitted to a hospital suffering from CCHF infection three days earlier, died on Friday.

Mehmood Ali, a resident of Azizabad and an assistant director of the KWSB, was admitted to the isolation ward of the Ojha Campus of Dow University of Health Sciences.
