KARACHI, Aug 2: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s coordination committee on Tuesday asked people of various localities to refuse payment to those collecting donations using the name of the MQM.

It said such persons have nothing to do with MQM, therefore, people should decline them.

It called upon the Sindh Governor and Chief Minister to take notice of such anti-MQM acts.

Mengal assures: Member Central Committee of Balochistan National Party (BNP Mengal Group), MNA Abdul Rauf Mengal called on deputy convener of MQM’s Coordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar and discussed political matters of Sindh and Balochistan with him, adds APP.

A statement issued here said the meeting was held at Khursheed Begum Memorial hall, Azizabad late Monday evening.

The upcoming local bodies polls in Sindh and Balocitsan were also discussed during the meeting. Mr Mengal assured that his party would support MQM- backed candidates in upcoming local government elections.
