Officials, contractors warned

LAHORE, July 31: Punjab Communication and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan has said that the government officials failing to get development works executed in time would be punished and contractors blacklisted.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the tardy pace of work on the construction of Lahore General Hospital emergency ward’s building here on Sunday, the minister said punitive action was necessary against the government officials and contractors failing to complete uplift projects in time.

He directed the chief engineer to get the work on the project expedited and ensure the use of quality building material in it.
