18 elected without contest

JACOBABAD, July 31: Nazims for 18 union councils of the district have been elected unopposed. Assistant Election Commissioner Hishamuddin Soomro told reporters that for 40 UCs in the district, candidates filed their nomination forms and 18 pairs of nazims and naib nazims had been elected unopposed.

Those elected unopposed are: UC Misripur, Ahmed Ali Khoso (Nazim) and Ghulam Mustafa Khoso (Naib Nazim), UC Garhi Hassan Sarki, Dr Hanif Sarki (Nazim) and Ahmed Bux Bhangar (Naib Nazim), UC Thul Nau, Nazar Mohammad Kamrani (Nazim) and Deedar Ali Kamrani (Naib Nazim), UC Thul-1, Munir Ahmed Soomro (Nazim) and Barkat Ali Dayo (Naib Nazim), UC Mirpur Buriro, Rafiq Ahmed Buriro (Nazim) and Babal Buriro (Naib Nazim), UC Mubarakpur, Sattar Mahar (Nazim) and Ghulam Mustafa Tanwari (Naib Nazim), UC Tooj, Ghulam Mohammad Banglani (Nazim) and Darya Khan Banglani (Naib Nazim), UC Longi, Ghazanfar Jakhrani (Nazim) and Mumtaz Jarwar (Naib Nazim), UC Balochabad, Afzal Khoso (Nazim) and Waheed Ahmed Khoso (Naib Nazim), UC Kot Jhangoo, Amanullah Khoso (Nazim) and Din Mohammad Khoso (Naib Nazim), UC Dinpur, Noman Ahmed Khoso (Nazim) and Aijaz Ahmed Khoso (Naib Nazim), UC Garhi Chand, Changez Panhwar (Nazim) and Mashooq Ali (Naib Nazim), UC Rind Wahi, Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani (Nazim) and Akram Kherani (Naib Nazim), UC Qadirpur, Nisar Khoso (Nazim) and Tariq Hussain (Naib Nazim), UC Nawra, Noor Ahmed Jakhrani (Nazim) and Mirza Jakhrani (Naib Nazim), UC Allanpur, Azizullah Shah (Nazim) and Muzaffar Ali (Naib Nazim), UC Miranpur, Liaquat Ali (Nazim) and Khalid Hussain (Naib Nazim), UC Mohammadpur, Tariq Odho (Nazim) and Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah (Naib Nazim).
