KARACHI: The executive committee of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Karachi strongly condemned the brutal murder of Dr Haider Askari in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Friday.

The meeting of the executive committee of PMA Karachi was held on Saturday at PMA House.

It strongly condemned the murder of the cardiac specialist.

“This is very unfortunate that government has failed to provide security to doctors. We ask IG Sindh and DG Rangers to provide security to the people, particularly the doctors who are always considered a soft target.”

The meeting participants asked the government to visit the bereaved family and announce compensation for it.

They also demanded that the culprits involved in this heinous crime are immediately arrested and given exemplary punishment.
