Discharge position of Indus

KARACHI, Jan 14: The Irrigation Department on Monday issued the water discharge position for the Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri barrages.

The director regulation, Irrigation and Power Department, Karachi, said that the flow on Monday in the Indus at Tarbela was 10,900 cusecs, Kabul at Attock 5,530 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla 5,000 cusecs and Chenab at Marala 3,209 cusecs.

The discharge at the B.S. Feeder was 1,000 cusecs, at Desert Pat Feeder 2,500 cusecs, at Ghotki Feeder 2,000 cusecs, at Akram Wah 130 cusecs, and at Kalri Baghar 525 cusecs.

Besides the Nara Canal, Khairpur East, Rohri Canal, Khairpur West, North Western Canal, Rice Canal, Dadu Canal, New Fuleli Canal, and Old Fuleli Canal were closed due to the annual closure.—APP
