LONDON, July 30: All-rounder Paul Collingwood gave the England selectors a timely nudge by scoring another century as Durham swept to victory over Somerset in the County Championship on Friday. Collingwood followed his first-innings 181 and last week’s 190 with 105 not out as the Second Division leaders won by 208 runs at Taunton.

He faced just 78 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes as Durham declared with a lead of 381 on 208 for one. Gary Scott was also unbeaten on 61 after hitting his maiden first-class half-century. Gareth Breese then claimed four wickets for match figures of nine for 138.—Agencies
