QUETTA, July 30: Accountability Court Quetta Judge Mohammad Naeem Kakar has convicted eight former officials of the post department and sentenced them to prison and ordered them to pay fines in the corruption references. The court issued the order on Saturday after the prosecution proved the charges against the accused.

Those convicted are: Khalid Ahmed (four-year imprisonment and Rs6 million) Mohammad Ashraf (two-year jail term and Rs1.5 million fine) Allah Ditta (two-year term and Rs1.5 million fine) Allah Bux (three-year term and Rs3.2 million fine) Abdul Mohammad (one- year term and Rs400,000 fine) and Ghulam Mohammad, Dur Mohammad and Saeed Mohammad (one-year term and Rs100,000 fine each).
