LAHORE, July 30: The Kashmir Action Committee Pakistan has called upon the government to lodge a complaint with the International Criminal Court against Indian army, security forces personnel and commanding officers for their direct and indirect involvement in crimes against humanity and war crimes in occupied Kashmir.

Expressing deep concern and anguish over the increasing acts of state terrorism and violence by the security forces in the occupied Kashmir through a resolution adopted in a meeting held here, the KACP executive committee pointed out that mostly unarmed and uninvolved civilians had been killed by the Indian forces. Only recently three children became victims of firing by Rashtria Rifles notorious for victimizing innocent persons in Kupwara sector. The Indian general officer commanding not only admitted the killings but also added insult to the injury by describing the same as a mistake.

Condemning the custodial killings and harassment of population continuing in the occupied Kashmir through various means, the KACP working committee expressed astonishment over the harping on the tune of ‘peace is an irreversible process’ and confidence building measures by Pakistan while the atrocities continued in the face of Indian leaders’ repeated assertions that the continued infiltration from Pakistan and Azad Kashmir into the occupied Kashmir was bound to derail the peace process.

The resolution stated that contrary to its assertions about the importance of Kashmir issue, Pakistan was now reconciled to develop friendly relations with India without regard to what happened to Kashmiris.
