DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 14: The provincial joint secretary of PML (like-minded), Malik Iqbal Saqib, on Monday was elected president of the Dera District Bar Association.
Mr Saqib obtained 187 votes and his opponent Zafar Ahmed Khan Lond got 157 votes.
Sitting secretary-general Umer Farooq Khan Khosa secured his office by defeating his two rivals — Khursheed Khan Kaliani and Arif Khan Gormani.
PPP backed candidate Yaseen Khan has been elected vice-president by defeating JI supported candidate Faheem Akbar.
