KARACHI, July 29: The Sindh Bar Council on Friday demanded of the president, the Sindh governor and the chief minister to take legal action against MQM workers who allegedly ransacked Hyderabad Bar Association’s office and manhandled Bar President Chaudhry Shabir Ahmed Gajar.

In a joint statement, Vice Chairman, SBC Noor Naz Agha and 41 council members strongly condemned the alleged attack on bar association.

They urged the authorities to take notice of the incident, which caused damage to furniture and dignity of lawyers. “If cases are not registered against responsible, Sindh Bar Council would take extreme measures, which may include a strike through out Sindh”, statement warned.—PPI
