FAISALABAD: Judicial magistrate Zafar Iqbal on Saturday remanded Rana Sheharyar, son-in-law of former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah, in seven-day physical custody on charges of his alleged involvement in a murder case.

Police produced handcuffed Rana Shehryar in tight security and requested 14-day remand.

Sources said police had requested that the suspect was wanted in connection with a murder case of deceased Asif Butt who was gunned down in 2016.

The suspect had been taken into custody in Lahore where he was present to meet Rana Sanaullah.
