MULTAN, July 27: The district education authorities have almost finalized the reports identifying the government schools, which have shown poor results in the class ninth and matriculation examination.

Multan EDO (Education) Prof Nazir Chaudhry said on Wednesday 50 schools had been identified, which showed results below the Multan BISE success percentage in class 10th examination. Some of them have yielded zero per cent results.

The report about 10th class examination has been completed while the ninth-class report of schools is in the process of compilation and will be ready within a day or two.

The process of report compilation began on the orders of DCO Iftikhar Babar, who took serious notice of poor performance shown by some government schools.

Officials said action would be taken on the basis of these reports not only against headmasters of the schools concerned, but also against the teachers.—APP
