KARACHI: Expressing concerns over the situation in Sindh including Karachi following heavy rains, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf said that despite ruling Sindh for the past 11 years the Pakistan Peoples Party-led provincial government has failed to plan a rain-emergency strategy.

PTI’s parliamentary party leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh said in a statement that the situation in Karachi and Hyderabad suggested that there was no government in the province.

The situation created due to rains in Karachi and other cities of Sindh had exposed the performance of the Sindh government, which had claimed to have spent billions of rupees in the name of laying drainage system, he said. He added that the accumulation of rainwater in different cities of the province indicated as if the Sindh government was not interested in solving the problems of the people.
