TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami deputy chief Liaquat Baloch on Sunday said his party would soon decide whether or not to take part in the voting on the no-confidence motion against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

Addressing a news conference at Timergara, the JI leader insisted that the government was being run practically by the International Monetary Fund.

JI parliamentary leader in KP Assembly Inayatullah Khan, district emir Izazul Mulk Afkari, and other local leaders were also present.

JI yet to decide about participating in no-trust move against Senate chairman

Mr Baloch said delegations of both the government and opposition had been in contact with the JI on the no-trust move against the Senate chairman, but his party had not yet decided which way to go.

He said the JI would take a decision at a consultative meeting of the party within two to three days.

The JI has two senators in the upper house of the parliament.

Criticising the PTI government, he said unemployment and inflation had increased manifold during the last one year.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had disappointed the nation on his slogan of ‘change’.

The JI leader said the prime minister had not taken the parliament and the nation on board before leaving for the US.

Mr Baloch said media and other state institutions were being targeted, which was not a good omen for the country.

EXAM RESULTS ANNOUNCED: Students of private colleges got the top three positions in the higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) examination results announced by Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Malakand Chakdara, on Sunday.

The HSSC examination results were announced by controller of examinations Mian Wazir Jan Sajid during a function at the board.

Adviser to chief minister on education, Ziaullah Bangash was the chief guest.

According to the results, Ms Aroma Kamal of Superior Lalazar Public School and College,

Thana Malakand, bagged first position, obtaining 1,009 marks, Mehranullah Bani of Edwards Model College, Timergara, secured 1,004 marks and clinched second spot, while Mohammad Shehzad of Al-Huda College, Gulabad Adenzai, secured third spot, getting 1,000 marks.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Ziaullah Bangash reiterated that his government was committed to improving standard of education in the province.

He said the government had planned to introduce uniform system of education in the country and he wished the educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa excelled across the country.

The CM’s adviser urged teachers and parents to focus on character-building and enhancing morality in students.
