RAWALPINDI: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the provincial authorities, administrative departments, divisional police chiefs and all district police officers (DPOs) not to entertain requests made in person or by phone calls by people who introduced themselves as his relatives.

According to sources, the direction was given after it was observed that some unknown people were posing as the chief minister’s relatives to gain favour from the district administration and police.

The CM Office informed departments that if any request is made to any officer by people introducing themselves as Mr Buzdar’s relatives, it should be brought to the notice of the CM Office staff, including the principal secretary and other senior officials.Meanwhile, the chief minister will visit Murree as the provincial government will open the Government House for public on Sunday.

On the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government will open the official residence for public. The chief minister will also meet visitors and listen to their problems.

A senior official of the district administration said the administration had been asked to provide details of public welfare projects for the hill station and make arrangements to facilitate visitors and locals.
