PESHAWAR: Right winger Ali Raza’s second-half goal saw Pakistan Army edge past Pakistan Railways 1-0 and into the next round of the National Challenge Cup here at the Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Thursday.

Ali scored just before the hour mark, collecting a pass from Amir Hussain and dispatching it into the back of the net.

The day’s other game saw Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Pakistan Television (PTV) played out a 1-1 draw with Zain-ul-Abideen’s 58th-minute goal cancelling out Adnan Khan’s 41st-minute opener for PTV.
