LAHORE, July 25: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Railways is meeting here at the PR headquarters on Tuesday (today) to ascertain the real causes of the Sarhad tragedy. Chairman Sardar Tufail told Dawn on Monday the committee during its two-day meeting would foil all the attempts to “dogmatize the fatal accident.”

“All senior officers, including the railways chairman, have been directed to ensure their presence at the PR headquarters during the meeting of the National Assembly Committee,” Sardar Tufail said.

“I assure you that the people responsible for the tragedy will not escape punishment while any attempt to implicate innocent men will be dealt with strictly,” the NA body chairman said.
