KARACHI, July 25: Unidentified persons on Monday took away a witness from the court of judicial magistrate South, who appeared for recording his 164 CrPC statement in connection with a murder case.

Javed was a witness in the murder case of Mohammad Tariq Awan, an ex-body guard of late PPP-SB leader Mir Murtaza Bhutto. The case is being tried against Shaukat alias Ashok and others.

Complainant’s counsel Nadeem Shahzad Hashmi said that the witness was present in the court for recording his statement when unidentified persons took him away besides giving him life threats.—PPI
