PESHAWAR: The recently posted Director General of National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fayyaz Ahmed Qureshi assumed the charge of his office on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued here, Fayyaz Qureshi hails from Sindh and had joined NAB in 2004 as additional director. He got promoted to the rank of director in 2012.

It was stated that he had vast experience of investigations and had served in Karachi and Sukkar bureaus and NAB headquarters on key positions.

On the first day, he reviewed the performance of the bureau and expressed his satisfaction over the progress in different cases.

He also asked his teams to maintain integrity in personal and official matters in order to prevent miscarriage of justice. He advised all officers to protect the constitutional rights of all persons under scrutiny in accountability matters.
