LAHORE: The women wing of the PPP organised a hunger strike camp here on Tuesday to protest detention of party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.

Women activists, led by wing president Samina Khalid Ghurki, joined the camp at Charing Cross.

They raised slogans against the PTI-led government for, what they said, political victimisation of the opposition, particularly, the PPP leadership, and also against unbridled inflation and unemployment

allegedly caused by the government’s policies.
