ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Saturday all financial needs, essential to meet any challenges for the country’s defence would be fulfilled.

“There should be no panic in this respect as the country is well positioned with ample liquidity and all time high foreign exchange reserves,” he said in a brief chat with the newsmen after addressing the NCR’s National IT Awards ceremony held here at a hotel.

The minister said, the stocks situation in the country was at comfortable level with enough availability of all essential and consumer items in the market at reasonable prices.

Shaukat Aziz informed that the country realized Rs38.5 billion in terms of revenue in the month of December, adding, the provisional revenue figures released earlier for this month were to the tune of Rs29.5 billion.—APP
