KARACHI: 22 suspects get bail

KARACHI, July 21: Justice Amir Hani Muslim of the Sindh High Court, who is also administrative judge of the Anti-Terrorism Courts in Karachi, on Thursday admitted 22 alleged members of banned outfits to bail against sureties of Rs 50,000 each, holding that Section 11-E/4 under which they are charged is bailable. The AJ directed the accused to cooperate with the police during investigation and also asked the officers of 14 different police stations to complete investigations against the accused by July 28.

Earlier, the police produced Nuaman, Danish, Shehzad, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Nadeem, Kashif Khan, Tahir Jamal, Kashif Anwar Qadri, Kashif Hussain, Naseem Hussain, Mohammad Rasheed, Mohammad Shahid and others.

The AJ also admitted Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui to bail. He was booked by the Quaidabad police under Sections 8 and 9 and 153 of the PPC.

The AJ perusing the material produced by police held that material evidence against the accused could not be termed as objectionable or creating hatred.—APP
