KARACHI, July 20: Five ships carrying containers and loading rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships — Global Princess, to unload and load containers, APL Pusan to offload coal, Danica White, to load general cargo, Chitral and Multan to offload rock phosphate, Praticia-A, to load molasses — were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Global Princess, Thor Captain, New Liukinhai and Danica White, while Germana, APL Pusan, Stolt Vanguard, Hyundai Adavance are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage amounted to 92,806 tons comprising 43,077 tons of export cargo and 72,391 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Huo Hung, Corin Thaikos, Tai He, Golden Express, with containers, and Samta Fe, to load rice.
