Three rivers in high flood

ISLAMABAD, July 18: The Swat river was flowing in very high flood at the Monda headworks on Monday while the Kabul and Indus rivers were in high flood at Nowshera and Chashma, respectively. The Indus river was in medium flood at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Guddu. The water discharge at Chashma was 516,000 cusecs and it was recorded at 450,000 cusecs at Kalabagh. At Guddu, the discharge was 391,000 cusecs.

The Indus river was in low flood at Tarbela with a discharge of 321,000 cusecs water and its level was rising at that point.

The Jhelum river was in low flood at Mangla and Rasul while Chenab was in low flood at Marala and was flowing normal at all other points.

The Ravi was in low flood at Balloki with a discharge of 45,000 cusecs with steady flow.—APP
