KPT crush HEC, KRL rout Police

FAISLABAD, July 18: Lal Bukhsh’s hat trick guided Karachi Port Trust (KPT) to a 6-0 victory over High Education Commission (HEC) in the National challenge Cup in Rawalpindi on Monday. Mohammad Asif opened the account for KPT in the fourth minute of the game followed by a Lal Bukhsh goal in the 22nd minute.

Fareed Majeed struck four minutes later before Lal Bukhsh netted his second in the 39th minute. Fareed got his double seconds before halftime.

Lal Bukhsh completed his treble in the 57th minute.

In Faisalabad, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) defeated Pakistan Police 4-1.

International Qadeer Ahmad broke the ice in the 34th minute, while two minutes later Amir Khan converted a spot kick. Police pulled one back through Nida Muhammad penalty kick in the 76th minute.

Ayaz Mahmood of KRL made it 3-1 by converting yet another penalty kick in the 82nd minute. Qadeer completed the rout with a dazzling strike.

Tuesday’s fixtures:

Faisalabad: Pakistan Navy v Panther.

Rawalpindi: NBP vs PTCL.
