PESHAWAR, July 17: Decomposed bodies of two young women were found in a house in Afghan Colony, while two persons were killed in separate incidents in city’s suburb on Sunday, residents and police officials said.

On Sunday morning, a group of residents of Afghan Colony informed Faqirabad police about the foul smell coming out of a house in street No-12.

Policemen climbed a wall of the house as the main door was locked and found the decomposed bodies of Zar Bibi, lady health visitor at Hamida Mufti Clinic in Lahori Gate, and her assistant Dur Marja aged between 35 and 36.

Police officials said that the women were apparently tortured to death about eight days ago and the actual cause would be determined after post-mortem.

The police have sent the bodies to the mortuary in Khyber Medical College.

Marjan, the owner of the house, told police that he had given his house on rent. He denied having any acquaintance with the deceased, he told police that he had given the keys of his house to a local property dealer who must be knowing the women. So far, the police had not arrested the property dealer.

In a separate incident, a young woman was killed by her brother-in-law over a domestic dispute on Sunday. Mr Naik, a resident of Haryana Payan, told Daudzai police that his daughter Sofia was married to one Khalid, a resident of nearby Shagai Korona village.

On Sunday morning, Ajmal, brother of Khalid, exchanged hot words with Sofia and in a fit of anger he shot her dead. The accused escaped after committing the crime.

Meanwhile, Aslam, a resident of Haroon Abad, told Chamkani police that his 17-year-old brother Rehmat Ullah, who worked as a mechanic in an automobile repair shop, was hit with some iron tools by his colleague Noor Nabi after quarrelling on Saturday. Rehmat Ullah expired in a hospital on Sunday.
