LAHORE, July 16: Phoenix, a three-year-old bay colt looks a better proposition to pick up the spoils in the Lahore Summer Meeting to be held at the Racecourse on Sunday. He is contesting in the Tandalianwala Plate, a class V division I, handicap race to be gone over the sprinting distance of 1000 metres. From Rambo Touch out-of-Wind Sharp, Phoenix, has already won two back-to-back races on June 5 and 26 and will be going all out to make it a hat trick on Sunday.
Daisy Gold, Love Moon and Miss Photogenic should fight for the frame among six runners barring last-minute withdrawals.
Six-year-old chestnut gelding, King Maker, who won a good race on June 20 last seems a cut above in class vis-a-vis, his ten rivals in the third race, a class V division II handicap race to be gone over 1000 metres.
The way King Maker, a progeny of Baluka and from a dam by Ibne Kohsar, won the 1100 metres race, stands out in the field he is contesting.
Mera Chandiwala, Stride To Moment and Opening Partner should fight for the board among ten runners.
Three-year-old dark-bay filly, Eye Of The Tiger, who was Narrowly beaten by All At Sea on June 20 last should make amends this time and win the race to be contested over 900 metres.
The filly from Phool King out-of-Cool Down, Eye Of The Tiger is tracking well and would have only Bosra Sham to beat. Princess Afaq and Daring Bulbul are the next best in the same order.
Five-year-old bay mare, Where Or When, has gradually come to form after not so well two running and should strike to get into the winner’s box this time. She should be followed by Silver Queen and Lucky Mayla.
This will be the fifth and supporting event, a class IV division III handicap race to be contested over 1100 metres.
High Dream, Stereo Nation, Pawan and Kala Shah Kaku are the pick of the sixth and last race, a class IV division I and II combined handicap race over 1100 metres.
The first two races will be gone over 900 metres, the other two over 1000 metres and the last two over 1100 metres.
The first race will be held at 2.30pm.
