THE authorities’ attention is invited towards the sufferings being faced by the affected people of Tarbela Dam project who were resettled at Ghazi Hamlet Colony.

Far from privileges, residents are deprived of even basic facilities like drinking water, sewerage, education, health, etc. They are also not given preference for appointment in WAPDA jobs. Furthermore, the net hydel profit is not being utilised on people of this colony according to their aspirations.

Repeated representations to top government functionaries have gone unheeded. The affected people demand that their case be heard and solutions provided as soon as possible.
