SHIKARPUR, July 16: Two persons were killed and a woman was seriously injured in two incidents in the district during the last 24 hours. One Sohbat Pahore was shot dead by his cousin Ghous Bux with the help of his friends, when he was asleep at his home. His sister Ms Marun was also seriously injured as she tried to save her brother in the Khadim Qambrani village, Garhi Yasin taluka.

The motive behind the incident is said to be a financial dispute. Injured Ms Marun was referred to the Larkana Civil Hospital.

The Golo Daro police have registered a case against Ghous Bux and three others on the complaint of the injured woman.

In another incident, Irfan Ali Chandio, 18, of Kasai Mohalla was killed in a train accident near the Shikarpur railway station on Saturday.

He was crossing the track when the Jafar Khan Express hit him. He died instantly.
