PPP, PML-N leaders meet

LAHORE, July 15: Leaders of the PPP and the PML-N decided here on Friday to forge cooperation among various opposition parties to make it difficult for the ruling PML to win the local elections. Punjab PPP president Qasim Zia and Naveed Chaudhry met PML-N secretary-general Zaeem Qadri and exchanged views on cooperation on provincial level.

It is said that another meeting would be held soon in which the MMA and the Tehrik-i-Insaaf would also be represented.

Lahore PPP president Azizur Rehman Chan will meet his PML-N counterpart on Saturday (today) to discuss adjustments for seats of the Punjab capital.

A meeting with the Lahore MMA president will be held subsequently.
