KARACHI, July 15: The Monitoring and Evaluation Cell of Provincial Local Government Commission has notified the constitution of inspection teams headed by Director-General of the Sindh Local Government Commission Iqbal Ahsan Zaidi. The teams will conduct annual inspections of the following district governments and taluka municipal administrations of district headquarters: District governments Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Jacobabad and district headquarters TMAs.

Team-one will comprise Iqbal Ahsan Zaidi as Convenor with ADLFA Nisar Ahmed Jumani, DD (Tech) Sibghatullah Bhutto and DD (Accounts) Ahmed Shah as members.

Team-two will comprise Khalil Ahmed Soomro, DD (Tech), as Convenor, with ADLFA (HQ) Faiz Mohammad Channa and DD (Audit) Rafique Ahmed Khaskheli as members.

The team-one will undertake annual inspection of district governments Sukkur, Ghotki and TMAs (headquarters of the two districts) while team-two will carry out annual inspection of district governments Larkana, Shikarpur and Jacobabad and TMAs (headquarters of the three districts).

More teams have been constituted for other district governments and TMAs.

The teams will immediately start annual inspection as assigned to them and during the course of the inspection, the development schemes executed by the district governments and TMAs will be physically checked their accounts record will be scrutinized.

The inspection reports pertaining to the record and work during the period Aug 14, 2001 to June 30, 2005 will be submitted immediately after the inspection.

The teams will camp at DCO Secretariat and keep the SLGC head-office informed of their activities.

They are supposed to send interim reports to the head office on every third day through fax.

The report would contain a brief account of irregularities and identify the persons at fault.—APP/PPI
