PESHAWAR, July 14: NWFP Minister for Science and Technology Hussain Ahmed Kanju has said that the MMA government is doing its level best to provide better working conditions to the teacher community because they cannot deliver when not satisfied with their job. He was talking to a delegation of All Teachers Association (ATA) NWFP in the Assembly Chamber on Thursday. Members of the delegation drew attention of the minister to pending promotion and selection grade cases of 562 senior English teachers due to which teaching was being badly affected.

The minister said that provision of quality education was top priority of the MMA government and it would not compromise on it.

That was why the government had decided to take action against those schools whose results in the recent SSC examination were zero per cent, he added.

He said the government had formed a high powered committee to examine this issue.
