LAHORE, July 13: The Kashmir Action Committee Pakistan on Wednesday observed the Martyrs Day of Kashmiris, who laid down their lives on July 13, 1931 in front of the Srinagar Central Jail. A meeting was held here at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehrik-i-Pakistan, which paid tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of liberation and right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir.

The meeting was addressed among others by Inayatullah, Ghulam Nabi Lone, Abdul Latif Chughtai, Sardar Anwar Iqbal, Arif Husain Butt and Brig Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry (retired). KACP president Syed Sharif Husain Bokhari was also present on the occasion.

They stressed the need for settling the core issue of Kashmir according to the wishes of the people of Jummu and Kashmir. They urged the leadership of Kashmir to resolve their differences and forge unity among their ranks.

A resolution was passed at the meeting, which demanded that the Indian government should stop atrocities of Kashmiris. Later, they offered fateha for the martyrs.—APP
