“During the first three months of 2019, NAB Balochistan submitted six references against the officers of irrigation, finance and education department while it started 20 investigations upon public complaints,” the report said.

The NAB said that 13 references had been sent to the departments concerned over corruption allegations while 12 absconders involved in corruption apprehended during this period.

Vowing to purge the menace of corruption from the province, DG NAB Balochistan Mohammad Abid Javed said no one would be allowed to loot public money and government resources,

“Action against corrupt elements is being taken across the province without any indiscrimination and with public support progress has been made against corruption in the province,” he said, adding that accountability courts had sentenced several accused.
