KARACHI, July 11: Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Justice (r) Abdul Razzak Thahim reviewed progress of the schemes initiated under the Khushal Pakistan Programme and Tameer-i-Pakistan Programme at a meeting held in this regard, an official statement issued here on Monday said. It said that the schemes pertained to Wapda, KESC, roads, sewerage and buildings in Karachi’s rural areas.

The minister was informed about the completion of 41 schemes of Sui gas, 46 of the Pak PWD and four of telephone. He was told that work on remaining schemes was in progress.

The minister directed the TMOs of Gadap and Bin Qasim to provide lists of the villages in the two towns where power connections were not available so that the same could be provided under the prime minister’s special fund.—APP
