Rs50m spent on bricklining

GUJRANWALA, July 10: A sum of Rs50 million has been spent on bricklining of 356km water courses in the district. This was stated by district officer Muhammad Zikriya at a briefing here on Sunday.

He said 240km water courses would also be constructed in the current fiscal year.

He pointed out that farmers would have more water after the completion of construction work on these courses. He said four teams were working in the district to complete work on the courses.

He expressed the hope that complaints of farmers regarding shortage of water would be solved after completion of these courses. — Correspondent
