Breach floods villages

JACOBABAD, July 10: Eleven villages were inundated as a result of a breach which developed in Thermal Shakh after ripping apart it’s iron door near Guddu on Sunday. The DDO revenue, Kashmore, confirmed the breach.

The affected villages included, Gundhem, Nagan Bello, Shah Gais, Nabal, Qambar, Jail and others.

Thousands of acres of farm land, houses and cattle were submerged.

The villagers saved their lives by shifting to safer places.

ACCIDENT: A man died and another injured in an accident on the Quetta road in the jurisdiction of Abad police station here on Saturday night.

Imam Bux Unnar and Gul Mohammad Unnar were on their way to the village when a wagon hit them.

Imam Bux died on the spot while Gul Mohammad sustained injuries.

He was shifted to a Larkana hospital.

The Abad police lodged an FIR against the driver who fled from the scene after the accident.
