Pakistan to meet Spain in opener

LAHORE, July 9: Pakistan meet Spain in the Rabo Trophy hockey opener to be hosted by Amsterdam, the Netherlands from Aug 14 to 21. Pakistan are placed in pool ‘A’ along with India, Spain and Germany. The Netherlands, England, South Korea and Australia are in pool ‘B’.

Pakistan start their campaign with the opening match against Spaniards on Aug 16. The match will be followed by an encounter with arch-rivals India on Aug 18 before facing Germany the following day.

Schedule:

Aug 14:&nbps; England vs South Korea; Spain vs India.

Aug 15: &nbps; Rest Day.

Aug 16: &nbps;India vs Germany; South Korea vs Australia; Spain vs Pakistan; The Netherlands vs England.

Aug 17: &nbps; England vs Australia; The Netherlands vs Korea.

Aug 18: &nbps; India vs Pakistan; Spain vs Germany.

Aug 19: &nbps; Germany vs Pakistan; The Netherlands vs Australia.

Aug 20: &nbps;Match for the 7th/8th position and match for 5th/6th position.

Aug 21: &nbps; Third position match and final.
