LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), July 9: Authorities here have released two Afghan girls who were arrested at Torkham for trying to smuggle eight Kalashnikovs into Pakistan. The girls were released on Friday after a delegation of border guards from Afghanistan handed over the father and another relative of the detained girls to the Pakistani authorities.
The authorities were told that the girls were “mere carriers who were lured by their father for financial gain”.—Correspondent
