SAHIWAL, July 8: Harappa police on Friday arrested another accomplice of accused Talib Husain who had taken the kidnapped boy on his motorcycle to some unknown place. The police arrested accused Muhammad Ramzan and three others after raiding a place at Chak 99/9-L. The police are keeping secret the raiding place and the identity of the three arrested people. Harappa SHO Ejaz Mubasher claimed that Jaffar, the kidnapped boy, would be recovered within 24 hours.

Talib Husain along with his 12 accomplices on July 5 had kidnapped 7th class student Jaffar in Nama Sial village to stop the execution of convict Iqbal Bali on July 6.

Bashir Ahmed, the elder brother of Jaafar, had urged the local district and sessions judge to stop the execution of Iqbal Bali for the kidnapper had threatened to kill his brother. At this, the judge had stopped the execution and summoned both the parties on July 13.

TWO DROWN: Two people drowned in river Ravi near Sheraza Pattan on Thursday evening.

Dost Muhammad and Mahboob had gone to Chak 214/GB to attend a ceremony. On their return, they decided to cross the river by swimming, but both of them drowned. Their bodies were recovered on Friday and were laid to rest the same day.
