PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed vice chancellors for the University of Agriculture Peshawar and the University of Haripur.

Prof Jehan Bakht was appointed vice chancellor of the University of Agriculture Peshawar and Prof Anwar ul Hassan Gilani VC for University of Haripur for a period of three years.

Mr Bakhat was serving as VC of Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak before his new assignment, while Dr Anwar ul Hassan was chairman Pakistan Council of Science and Technology.

The higher education department issued two different notifications on Saturday night.

Prior to this, Dr Bakhat served as professor and head of the Institute of biotechnology and genetic engineering, Agriculture University Peshawar.
