Nabeel, Hafsa crowned champions

LAHORE, July 7: Nabeel Aftab and Hafsa Mahmood won the boys and girls’ finals of the table tennis competition held at Mayo Garden at the end of the fortnight summer training camp on Thursday.

Nabeel defeated Muhammad Azfar 11-5, 9-11, 11-7 to win the title.

Earlier, Nabeel had defeated Saad Mahmood in the prefinals 11-6, 11-8. Hafsa beat Shamaila Wasti 11-6, 8-11, 11-7.

In the semifinals, Hafsa beat S Saeed 11-4, 11-7.

Nabeel bt Hammad 11-9, 6-11, 11-8.

Saad Mahmood bt Ahmad Randhawa 12-10, 11-4.

Hamza Saqib bt Misbah 11-5, 11-4.

Semifinals:

Nabeel Aftab bt Saad Mahmood 11-6, 11-8.

Mohammad Azfar bt Hamza Saqib 7-11, 11-9 11-8.

Finals: Nabeel Aftab bt Mohammad Azfar 11-5, 9-11, 11-7.

Girls: Hafsa Mahmood bt Marya 11-7, 11-5;

Shomaila Wasti bt Hira 11-7, 11-8.

Anam Asad bt Saniya Imran 11-4, 11-7.

Semifinals: Hafsa Mehmood bt S Saeed 11-4, 11-7.

Shomaila Wasti bt Anam Asad 11-9, 11-8.

Finals: Hafsa Mehmood bt Shamiala Wasti 11-6, 8-11, 11-7.
