KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan on Tuesday directed all commercial banks to open their designated branches on March 2 and 3 to facilitate the intending pilgrims in submitting Haj applications along with the fees for the pilgrimage.

The central bank has ordered the National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank, United Bank Limited, MCB Bank, Allied Bank, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, Faysal Bank, Askari Bank, Bank Al-Habib, Habib, Metropolitan Bank, Meezan Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank to open their branches from 10am to 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
